mission statement

scottScott H. McLemore

Scott H. McLemore is one of ten children in a hard-working family from Wewahitchka, Florida. Scott was raised to appreciate hard work in his Father’s grocery business. Scott’s first vacation from bagging groceries and stocking shelves came when he left home for college to obtain a degree in Finance and Economics. He has a strong family bond that extends beyond the family business. His firm logo bears the crest of his family name that predates his family’s immigration to America.

Scott obtained his law degree in 1997 from South Texas College of Law where he had the distinct honor of being inducted into the Order of Barristers, receiving the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy and competing on the law schools National Mock Trial and Moot Court Advocacy teams. After law school, Scott had the distinct honor of training with one of the best trial lawyers in Texas. He eventually went out on his own founding his firm in 2003. In addition to having his own firm where he dedicates himself to personal injury victims, Scott is a partner with the law firm McLemore, Reddell & Story.

Scott continued to excel in courtroom advocacy after law school. He has had success working on cases ranging in size. Mr. McLemore was a member of the trial team responsible for the largest verdicts in the country involving the recalled diet drug Fen Phen. In 2010, Scott was trial counsel in a verdict for $393 mm, involving theft of trade secrets and breach of fiduciary duty involving mineral interests, which was ultimately reversed and remanded for a new trial by the Texas Supreme Court. This verdict was one of the top verdicts in the State of Texas for 2010. Previously in 2009, Scott was trial counsel in a $2.9mm verdict for clients involving an 18-wheeler wreck and has participated in numerous private settlements in catastrophic injury cases involving paralysis, brain injury, loss of limb and life.

When Scott isn’t in the courtroom or working for his clients, he enjoys being on the water with his son. Just as he is passionate about each of his cases and clients, Scott has a passion for the water. Scott has extensive dive experience. He was scuba trained since he was 11-years-old. He has been spearfishing for over 34 years and enjoys offshore fishing.

Scott is dedicated to help his clients, whether their case is large or small. Each client and each case is important. Scott goes on the offensive early in his cases looking for advantages and opportunities to resolve the case.

“You have a Constitutional Right to pursue those who do you, your family or loved ones’ harm. This is guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. American Citizens shouldn’t have to bear the burden of the harm caused by someone else’s neglect.

Insurance companies often stand in the way of your compensation. In this country, insurance companies can’t take your rights, even though they may try. Don’t let insurance adjusters or insurance company adjusting tactics, cause you to become a victim twice. Contact a lawyer to learn about your legal rights before you do something to ruin your chances to hold the responsible party accountable.”
